The company said in its latest blog post that the user will begin to see the data safety section in the Google Play app store from the 27th of April onwards and the Android App Developers need to simply complete the section for their apps by the 20th of July.
The internet major Google on Tuesday asked the app developers to simply explain the purpose of collecting the data of the users and also clarify whether the data is shared with a third party or not. The company also said in the latest blog post that the users will begin to see the section in the Google Play app store from 27th April onwards and also the developer needs to simply complete the section for their apps from 20th July.
Android App Developers Have to Explain Purpose of Collecting User Data to Google
Google also said on the basis of the feedback from the users and also the app developers that it learned to display the data collected by the app without extra context which is not enough.
It will also say that the users are willing to know for what purpose their data is collected and the developer is sharing the user’s data with the other people. Also, the users are willing to understand how the app developers are securing the user data after the downloading of the app. This is why we design the data safety section to simply allow the developer to clearly mark what is collected and what purpose is being used. Users will also see that the app required this data to work or also that its data collection is an option said in a blog post.
As per the blog post, the app will help the users simply explore the world and also to connect with their loved ones and to do work, and learn something new and more without compromising the user’s safety. The new data safety section, in addition to Google Play’s existing safety feature, will give the visibility and control to the users which they need to simply enjoy their apps, said in a post.
