Below in this section, I am going to share the complete step by step guidelines through which you will be able to know “How to Fix White out Tape” so now, let’s take a look below to know more about the steps.

Step 1: Opening the Dispenser

  • Locate the dispenser face-up in front of you: To locate the dispenser face-up in front of you, first, you have to set the plastic white out tape dispenser on a flat base, you can use a desk or a table for this process. Then you have to put it’s face-up so that the logo is in front of you and the tape side is down. You have to complete this process over a clean surface so that the tape does not stick on anything.
  • Put a flat screwdriver in the middle of the crack, where 2 parts join: The dispenser has two connected parts and you will be able to see the line where they pass through the centre of the narrow side. Then you have to take a screwdriver and pour it gently into the crack. You should have to remember that you do not force the crack apart otherwise it will be a break.
  • Should have to apply a gentle pressure to separate the 2 parts of the dispenser: Once you feel the screwdriver into the crack, then you have to start pushing downward, gently. Unless you hear the “snap” slowly build up the pressure, indicating that they are falling apart. Be careful not to stick or crack the edges where 2 parts attach to the screwdriver.
  • Then you should have to use your figure to separate the 2 halves: When you hear and when feeling the parts of the dispenser snap separately, then you have to remove the screwdriver and then apply pressure along the tips of your fingers to separate them. After doing this you can see a wheel of white out tape attached to the 1 half of the dispenser. Neither snap nor twist the dispenser to open it otherwise you can break it.

Step 2: Tightening the Slack

  • Place half of the dispenser on its side with a tape wheel facing up: After opening the plastic case, you have to take the half that has the tape wheel down to make it easier to work. Put the tape dispenser side towards your side.
  • Then use your fingers to stabilize the bottom of the big wheel: With one hand still, hold half of the dispenser with the tape wheel. Then you have to insert the index figure of your other hand between the spools to keep the big wheel in place. Keeping the wheel in place will help you to bring back the spool of tape. You do not have to apply much pressure to keep the wheel stable.
  • Turn the wheel clockwise to tighten the tape: When you hold the large wheel steady, release enough pressure to allow you to rotate the wheel clockwise. The white out tape on the wheel will start spreading again and the slack will tighten up. You have to continuously rotate the wheel until all the slack of the wheel is gone, but do not tighten it enough to snap the tape.
  • Then you have to reconnect the 2 parts of the dispenser’s plastic cover: When you have taken out the slack from the white out the tape and re-wound the spool, then you have to move the other half of the dispenser and line up the 2 halves edges. You have to apply pressure with your hands until you hear them snap back together. You have to remember that you should not apply too much pressure to reconnect the two halves. You have to be careful not to break the edges that line up over the dispenser’s halves.
  • Now to taste it, you have to apply a small strip of white out the tape on a piece of paper: You have to apply a small strip of the white out the tape on a piece of paper, with the removed slack and dispenser back together. As you can test it normally to make sure it is working properly. Still, if the white out tape works improperly or it arrives inadvertently, then you have to replace the white out tape dispenser.
